Great Scuba Diving Locations
Scuba divers practice their sport pretty much wherever there is water. They dive in freshwater and salt, in lakes, rivers and streams and some even take the plunge into murky mid-west quarries. Scuba diving is an international 
sport and dive shops, resorts and charter boats can be found around the world. The vast majority of recreational diving is done in tropical locales and some of the major diving destinations include the Caribbean Sea, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, Australia and the Red Sea. There are great scuba diving locations in all these areas, but there are some that stand out from all the rest.
Cozumel off the coast of Mexico boasts some of the greatest diving on the planet. These huge Caribbean reefs are overwhelming in their beauty and are home to a plethora of marine life from colorful tropical to traveling sharks.
In a remote region off the coast of Australia lies the amazing Osprey Reef. Coral covered pinnacles rise from deep water and form deep canyons and plunging drop-offs. Osprey is a pelagic menagerie with whitetip, hammerhead, and gray reef sharks in abundance.
An amazing beach dive is possible at the Blue Hole at Dahab in the Egyptian Red Sea. From the beach divers traverse a tunnel that opens up at the wall that drops to nearly 1000 feet. Crystal clear water and colorful marine life make the hole one of the great scuba diving locations.
